Consent

A Restorative Support Measure

Taming Consent in Practice: Your Own and Other's

Consent is an easily theorized concept, but still difficult for many to fully embody. Some speak of gray areas of consent. However, when we observe animals, who are not afraid of judgment and the gaze of others, expressing consent or refusal, and understanding that of others, becomes obvious.

Through immersion with animals and interviews inspired by the systemic approach, we offer the CONSENT support measure for anyone wishing to (re)learn how to set their boundaries, ensure they respect those of others, and break free from patterns of violence or harassment, whether they have been in the position of victim or perpetrator.

Practical and Restorative Support

Our animal-assisted therapy sessions offer a space for concrete and authentic experimentation. Animals, through their raw yet non-judgmental presence, help anchor respect, listening, and kindness in the body and in relationships.

Each session aims to:

  • Explore the notion of consent through relationships with oneself and others.

  • Identify mechanisms of domination, submission, or withdrawal.

  • Foster resilience and self-determination.

  • Rediscover a relational balance based on mutual respect and otherness.
